Ivory Coast’s DJ Arafat has died following a motor bike accident on Sunday.
The singer, referred to as the “king” of coupé-décalé dance music was admitted to hospital in Abidjan with a fractured skull after his motorcycle collided with a car.
DJ Arafat, 33, whose real name was Ange Didier Huon died early on Monday.
CCTV footage from the accident shows the singer who loves bikes and featured them in his most recent hit, Moto Moto, collided his bike with another vehicle.
Moments before the crash, the singer was seen performing stunts on his motor bike in what appears to be a bike race.
DJ Arafat was named artist of the year at the Coupé-Decalé Awards.
