Governor of Kaduna state Nasir El Rufai was spotted on the queue as he waited to cast his vote.
The governor who ignored advances from security and INEC officials to jump the queue stood in the scourging sun for three hours in order to get accredited and cast his vote. While responding to reporters, Gov. El Rufai said he waited for his turn not minding the sun because of the lessons he learnt in 1984 during the Buhari/Idiagbon milliatry regime.
Governor El Rufai also appealed to INEC to extend the accredotation of voters by two hours because voting was delayed by two hours at his polling unit.
