Nigerian rapper Falz has released his album tittled “Moral Instruction.”
The much anticipated album comes few days after the rapper released instant hit single, “Talk.”
The sinfle generated excitement among Nigerians due to the controvertial lyrics that is critical of Nigeria’s rulling class.
Many Nigerians are beginning to draw similarities between Falz and Afro beat legend, Fela Anikolapo Kuti due to his socially conscious music that speaks of societal ills. Worthy of note is the fact that the album’s art cover was designed by art illustrator, Lemi Ghariokwu who is famous for designing the artworks of late Fela Kuti’s albums.
It is interesting to note that the “Moral Instruction” album drops on the day that coincides with the first millitary coup. The January 15, 1966 coup toppled Nigeria’s first democrarically elected leader and ushered in a plethora of millitary coups and counter coups.
