Presidency Denies Involvemnt in NASS takeover 

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has denied the incumbent of the presidency in the forcefully take over of the National Assembly complex by fiery looking armed DSS operatives. 

This comes after the termination if the appointment of DSS DG Lawal Daria following the illegal takeover. 

According to a press statement released today by the Acting president, the presidency was not aware of today’s illegal occupation of the National Assembly. 

Prof. Osinbajo also condemed the act calling it a “violation of constitutional order.” The Ag. President also assured that perpetrators of the conspiracy will be brought to book. 

The statement reads:


Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has described the unauthorized takeover of the National Assembly complex earlier today as a gross violation of constitutional order, rule of law and all accepted notions of law and order.

According to him, the unlawful act which was done without the knowledge of the Presidency is condemnable and completely unacceptable.

By this statement, Professor Osinbajo is consequently assuring Nigerians that all persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to appropriate disciplinary action.
