Stranded Nigerians at Russia 2018 World Cup Ruturn Home

The Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup will go down in history as one of the most memorable sports events except for some Nigerians who were left stranded in the Russian cold after their return flights were cancelled.

Thses unfortunate Nigerians were victims of fraudulent travel agents who cancelled their return tickets and made away with thousands of dollars. These football fans were left to face the ordeous Russian weather and left with no choice but to cry for help.  Following their outcry,  the Nigerian Federal Government promised to repatriate it’s nationals.

This promise was fulfimed when the stranded Nigerians returned to their motherland on Friday July 20, 2018 via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The returnes were very grateful to the FG for fulfilling their promise and rescuing them from Russia.
