Jet Li, 55, who starred in Lethal Weapon 4, Romeo Must Die and recently Expendables 2 among dozens others had revealed five years ago that he has been suffering from hyperthyroidism.
The martial arts superstar is already in final talks to take on the role of the emperor of China in Disney’s upcoming live-action version of Mulan, together with Chinese star Gong Li.

In 2010 he was was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism but in 2016 Li said he was recovering from the illness.
