Nigeria’s National Assembly Passes 2018 Budget #Budget2018

Nigeria’s National Assembly has passed the 2018 Appropriation Bill. The 2018 budget was presented to the parliament by President Muhammadu Buhari in November 2017 with a total estimate of N8.612 trillion but the national assembly increased it to N9.12 million with the stipulation that 1% of the CRF must be used to fund healthcare.
Senate president and chairman of the national Assembly, Bukola Saraki made the announcement via Twitter. He tweeted: “We have just passed the #Budget2018 with the stipulation that 1% of the CRF must be used to fund healthcare across the nation in the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).
