EFCC ends case against Orji Uzo Kalu as Buhari’s two-faced fight against corruption continues 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has ended the prosecution of Former Governor of Abia state and staunch APC member , Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, MON.

EFCC Prosecutor, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), announced today at the Federal High Court Lagos that all cases brought against Dr. Kalu has been dropped. 

The reason given was for the charges brought against the former governor to be amended by the anti-graft agency. 

“When it comes to fighting corruption in the National Assembly and the Judiciary and in the larger Nigerian sectors, the President uses insecticide, but when it comes to fighting corruption within the Presidency, they use deodorants.” – Senator Shehu Sani

This development seeks to butress the accusation that the APC led government is handling the fight against corruption pertaining it’s card carrying members with kid gloves. Recall that the former Secretary General of the Federation Mr. Babachir Lawal is yet to be tried in court following his indictment by the Senate for misappreciating funds meant for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in the Boko Haram ravaged North East.
