There were lots of surprises at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards that held last night at the Accra International Conference Center, Accra, Ghana after ‘One Corner’ hit maker walked home without a single award.
He was deemed a favourite for the ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’ award. He had even bragged about winning the award in the past.
He said: “My one corner hit track will win most popular song of the year in next year’s VGMA’s.”
“God Opens the way out of the blue, as you all can attest to how viral one corner went, surely it is going to grab the most popular song of the year subject to next year’s VGMA awards.”
But to his surprise, Fancy Gaddam won the coveted ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’ award with his song ‘Total Cheat’ featuring Sarkodie.
Patapaa angrily stormed out of Accra International Conference Center and soon took to twitter to express his disappointment. He said: “God’s time is the best. Everything happens for a reason. Heaven knows I tried my best.#VGMA2018.”
Patapaa wore an oversized coat to the awards ceremony. TalParlour.com is wondering if the singer got a stylist or he lacks some fashion show decorum.
We think he should get a stylist.
