21 civilians killed in Russian led Syrian airstrike in Idlib

Russian backed Syrian Arab Army (SAA) on Sunday night launched a surprise airstrike in the Idlib Governorate targeting two towns near the west of Abu Dhuhour city.

The strokes left 8 children and 11 people from one family dead and a total number of 21 civilian casualties. Led by the Republicans Guard and some units of the Tiger Forces, a pro Assad force attacked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions at the towns of Tal Sultan and Al-Mushayrifah.

According to military sources in Hama, the Syrian Army took control of Tal Sultan and Al-Mushayrifah after a short battle with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP).

Government sources say about 50 jihadists were killed in both towns, as Russian airstrikes and Syrian Army missiles targeted militants.
