Usain Bolt bows out with injury at London 2017 IAAF championship

Track and field legend, Usain Bolt ended his career on a sorrowful note as he fell in the track at his final race due to injury.

Bolt fell few moments after receiving the baton from his Jamaican team mate Yohan Blake at the 4×100 meter race.

Bolt’s injury has been attributed to the cold the sprinters were subjected to prior to the race.

Apparently world champion could not stand the forthy minute cold. “They were holding us too long in the call room,” Blake said. “Usain was really cold. In fact Usain said to me: ‘Yohan, I think this is crazy. Forty minutes and two medal presentations before our run.’

“We keep warming up and waiting, then warming up and waiting. Then we saw a true legend, a true champion go out there and struggling like that.”
