It has been reported that Cameroon football legend, Rigobert Song suffered a brain aneurysm on October 3 has died. Conflicting reports circulating on Social Media suggest that the player died on Friday October 7, 2016 but there has not yet been any official confirmation.
The Cameroonian defender had recovered after a two-day coma and was flown to France for further treatment.
Song played for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon from 1993 to 2010 and had 137 caps for his country. He also played for Liverpool and West Ham.
The 40 year old was working as a coach for Cameroon.
