The Nigerian Professional Football League  (NPFL) 2015/2016 season comes to an end today  as the final round of matches will be played at match venues all over Nigeria.

The race for the title is between Rangers FC of Enugu and Rivers United. Rangers FC will battle El-Kanemi Warriors by 4pm while Rivers United will play against Akwa United.

With sixty points, three points clear of their opponents, the  32-year waitfor glory will come to an end today at “The Cathedral” as the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium is fondly called by fans of the club. They only need a draw against El-Kanemi to win the NPFL while Rivers United needs to beat Akwa United with as many as four goals and expect El-Kanemi to beat Rangers.

For Coach Imama Amapakabo, the fight is not over yet. He believes the Flying Antelopes have one more battle to win. “We are keeping everyone on their toes in the club and especially the players as we have made them realise that the title has not been won yet,” He said.
