Thousands march against same-sex marriage in Mexico



Tens of thousands of people thronged the streets in Mexico on Saturday in protest against President Enrique Pena Nieto’s plan  to legalize same-sex marriage.

The protests were organized by the National Front for the Family, a coalition of organisations and religious groups opposed to same-sex marriage.


The protests across Mexico drew thousands of protesters who are against President Enrique’s constitutional reforms allowing couples of the same-sex to marry..

Currently, same-sex marriage is legal in Mexico city and nine other cities in the country.
