Watford blocks Ighalo from Rio Olympics, Mikel uncertain

English Premiership side Watford FC had blocked its Nigerian striker Orion Ighalo from featuring in the forth coming Rio Olympics in Brazil.
To worsen the woes for Dream Team VI, it appears that Chelsea of England will also not release midfielder John Mikel Obi for the Rio Olympics. “It’s a big disappointment,” Coach Samson Siasia said.
“I’m not sure of Mikel because Chelsea have not got back to us on his availability, be said.
On the release of Odion Ighalo by Watford, Siasia said: “Watford said they won’t release Ighalo.”
Also Manchester City player Kelechi Iheanacho has decided to stay out of the Olympics.
Despite the unavailability of the star players, Samson Siasia is still confident that players like Umar Aminu who plies his trade in Turkey, Wilfred Ndidi and Moses Simon, both in Belgium, Shehu Abdullahi, who plays in Portugal and Kenneth Omeruo, a Chelsea player on loan to Dutch side ADO Den Haag will be fit and available.
