James Ocholi’s death and the driver without a name

The deaths of Nigeria’s minister of state for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi, his wife Fatima Ocholi and their first son in an auto crash on Sunday along Abuja-Kaduna road sent the people of Dekina LGA and the entire Kogi state into mourning. They had lost a great son! Igala Land has lost two illustrious sons in three months following the death of APC governorship candidate Adamu Abubakar.

Unfortunately, the late Ocholi’s driver died today at the National Hospital Abuja, bringing the number of casualties to five.
As reported by Daily Sun and other prominent media outlets, the name of Ocholi’s driver had not be ascertained at the time of filing the report.
Concerted efforts had not been made to identify the dead driver and the female occupant of the vehicle.
It is either their identities are purposely being concealed or Nigerian media is selective in their reporting. Is a dead man without portfolio not as dead as the one occupying a ministerial seat?
This goes to mean that in Nigeria, even in death all men are not equal.
May their souls rest in peace.
