A former English Premier League footballer has been found dead in the River Rhine.
34-year-old, Steve Gohouri played for Wigan Athletic between the 2010 and 2012 season.
He was reported missing two weeks ago. He attended a Christmas party on December 11 and was due to travel to see his family in Paris but failed to show up.
His family filed a missing persons report and a police appeal for his whereabouts was issued.
His body was found in the River Rhine, without any indication of violence.
Steve Gohouri was born in Ivory Coast but moved to France as a child.
Gohouri played for numerous clubs starting in the late 1990s. He played for Wigan and Gladbach, he also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Young Boys and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
He made 13 appearances Ivory Coast and scored three goals.
