All Nigerian men are not conmen, in response to City Girl; Things that tell your Nigerian man is a big con

A Kenyan writer with the pen name City Girl in her article makes a mess of Nigerian men. She paints a blurred picture that depicts all Nigerian men as fraudsters and con artists.

What is it with Kenyan women and Nigerian men? What is it with those short, stocky bearded West African mohines that make Kenyan women move planets for them?

Kenyan women should prefer West African men and indeed Nigerian men because they are sophisticated and more romantic than Kenyan mountain men.

We have heard enough stories about how Kenyan women borrowed loans for their Nigerian boyfriends to pay for ‘containers with goods worth millions’ stuck at the port only for the Nigerian man to disappear. I know Kenyan women whose careers and lives have come to a standstill after a Nigerian man swept them clean, and I mean clean; car, house, land, money… everything.

I wonder why she should bother her head over such a matter except she is a victim in who is not proud to admit that she was deceived by someone who claimed to be a Nigerian

Nigerian men are very hardworking and resilient. They are daring and are determined go succeed.

What a level of ignorance. Stereotype!

You can’t classify all Nigerian men as con men simply because a few Nigerians (a fraction of the male population) who probably have Kenyan blood running through their veins are fraudsters in Kenya.

From your article, I have learned that Kenyan women are desperate. The are gold diggers who are desperate enough to fall for any man simply because he claims he is from Nigeria.

All Nigerian men are conmen. Repeat after me; “All Nigerian men are conmen”. There are no exceptions here. When you see a Nigerian man, run the other way. Don’t stop to invoke the name of Jesus or pray. Just take cover. While you are at it, here are a few pointers you need to look out for in a Nigerian man. If he exhibits any of these traits, then you are dealing with a riffraff.

What will you say about Aliko Dangote – The richest black man. What about Femi Otedola, Mike Adenuga, Tony Elumelu and the host of others who own businesses and investments even in your country Kenya.

I tell you the amount of money they own is far greater than the cumulative annual budget of Kenya for ten years.

My simple advice to City Girl

Avoid stereotypes. Forget about Nigerian men. I don’t think you are good enough for us. Stop being a gold digger. And focus more on constructive writing
