Rapper MI Abaga has taken over as the new CEO of Chocolate City record label He succeeds Audu Maikori who stepped down to head Chocolate City Group.
Audu Maikori founded Chocolate City alongside Paul Okeugo and Yahaya Maikori in 2005. He grew the record label to become one of Africa’s most successful record labels, turning out artists successful like MI, Ice prince, Jesse Jagz, Victoria Kimani, Nosa, Bez and Brymo.
MI Abaga joined Chocolate City on 2006 and served as the label’s Vice President till his recent appointment.
In the same vein, Ice Prince was appointed as Vice President of the record label.
