Ugandan singer Jemimah Kansiime has come under persecution for releasing a music video that exposes ‘too much’ of her body.
The 21-year-old Ugandan pop star could face up to 10 years in jail  for releasing a music video in which she’s dancing around in a soapy underwear…
She already spent five weeks in jail after she was arrested for breaking a new anti-pornography law.
Ugandan authorities say ponography is responsible for the rise in sexual crimes targeted against women.
The passage of the law has caused a public outcry citing a relapse to the Idi Amin regime.
While defending the law, chairperson of Uganda’s Parliament Committee on Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Stephen Tashobya said pornography poses dangers o individuals, families and communities…
“It is therefore necessary to pass a law that specifically deals with the offence of pornography and derives the reform necessary to stamp pornography out of the Ugandan society,” Hon. Tashobya said.
